Verixxa | Privacy and Data Policy

1. Introduction

This Privacy and Data Policy set out the principles governing the collection, use, sharing and retention of information processed through the Verixxa Platform. The Platform enables the submission, display and distribution of reviews, photos, entries and other user generated content.

1.1 Company and Service Definitions

For purposes of this Policy:

  • “Verixxa” refers to Verixxa Holdings LLC, a limited liability company organized under the laws of Texas, United States, and the Verixxa branded platform operated by that entity.
  • “Service” refers to the Verixxa mobile application, website, APIs, software, features, and related products provided under the Verixxa brand.
  • “Platform” refers to the user generated content and discovery environment provided through the Service.
  • “Company” refers to Verixxa Holdings LLC.
  • “User” or “Users” refers to individuals who access or use the Service.

2. Scope

This Policy applies to all services provided through the Verixxa application and website, including account registration, platform activity, analytics, affiliate link processing and related support services.

3. Definitions

Personal Data

Information that identifies or can reasonably be used to identify an individual. Personal Data includes email address, account identifiers, device identifiers, IP address and similar information. 

User Content

Content submitted by users, including photos, reviews, lists, comments, entries and related material. User Content is not considered Personal Data unless it includes information that directly identifies an individual.

Identifiable User Content

User Content that includes a users name, likeness, voice or other information that can reasonably identify an individual. Identifiable User Content may contain Personal Data. This content is submitted voluntarily by the user for display within the platform, and its visibility is determined by the users own posting actions and selected visibility settings. Identifiable User Content remains subject to the rights and controls described in this Policy but is displayed publicly or to defined audiences in accordance with how the user shares it.

Public Content

User Content that is visible to all users or to the general public based on platform configuration.

Restricted Content

User Content visible only to designated groups such as followers, trusted networks or other defined audiences.

Trend Data

Aggregated, anonymized and de identified data derived from platform activity. Trend Data does not identify an individual and contains no Personal Data.

Processing

Any operation performed on Personal Data, including collection, storage, use, disclosure or deletion.

4. Categories of information collected


4.1 Personal Data provided by users

  • Email address, login credentials and phone number
  • Optional profile image
  • Communications submitted to Verixxa support


4.2 User Content

  • Reviews, posts, comments, lists and ratings
  • Photos and Camera: Access to the device camera and photo library is required for uploading photos to posts and reviews
  • Metadata associated with User Content, such as timestamps, entry associations and location tags

User Content is processed for display, distribution and discovery within the platform. User Content may be Public Content or Restricted Content depending on platform design and user settings.


4.3 Information collected automatically

  • Device identifiers, operating system data and application version
  • IP address, browser information and log metadata
  • Analytics events generated through providers such as Firebase and Algolia
  • Affiliate link events processed through providers such as Skimlinks
  • Verixxa does not use personal data for cross-app tracking or third-party advertising


4.4 Location information

With the user’s permission, Verixxa may collect precise location data to support map features, discovery, proximity search, and tagging places to user content. Location access may be enabled or disabled at any time through device settings.

4.5 Third party authentication

When authentication is completed through Apple or Google, Verixxa receives basic account identifiers as permitted by the provider. Passwords are not shared with Verixxa.


5. Purposes of processing


5.1 Processing of Personal Data

Personal Data is processed for the following purposes:

  • Account creation, authentication and management
  • Security, fraud prevention and service integrity
  • Compliance with legal obligations
  • Communications via email, text, push notification and in app messaging, including account updates, support, product news and promotional content, subject to applicable law and right to opt out at any time
  • Analytics necessary for the operation, improvement and performance of the service

Personal Data is not sold and is not shared with third parties for their independent commercial use.


5.2 Processing of User Content

User Content is processed for the following purposes:

  • Display and distribution within the platform
  • Search, discovery and ranking functions
  • Feeds, maps, lists and related features
  • Internal redistribution within platform modules, such as recommendations or discovery surfaces

Public Content may be accessible to all users and may appear in search, feeds, lists and other surfaces. Restricted Content remains accessible only to the audiences defined by platform rules or user settings.


5.3 Processing of Trend Data

Verixxa may share Trend Data in the aggregate with third parties, such as businesses, advertisers, and content partners. Trend Data is aggregated and anonymous and cannot be used to identify any individual user. Verixxa does not sell Personal Data.


6. Visibility and access control


6.1 Public Content

When users choose to submit Public Content, that content is intended for public consumption and is viewable by other users and the general public, including unauthenticated users where allowed by platform design. Public Content may be indexed, surfaced in recommendations and included in discovery features.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​


6.2 Restricted Content

Restricted Content is visible only to defined groups, such as followers, trusted networks or other configured audiences. Access is determined by platform logic and user settings.


6.3 Private information

Personal Data such as email address, account identifiers, authentication data and private communications is not public and is not included in Trend Data. Such information is used only for the purposes described in this Policy.


6.4 Redistribution of User Content

Public Content may be redistributed within the platform, including in recommended sections, curated collections, lists, maps and similar features. Redistribution does not involve Personal Data unless such information has been included in the User Content by the submitting user.


6.5 Identifiable User Content

User Content may include photos, text or other material that identifies the submitting user. Identifiable User Content is disclosed by the act of submission and is displayed in accordance with platform visibility rules as Public Content or Restricted Content. Identifiable User Content remains visible until removed by the submitting user or as required by policy enforcement or law.


6.6 Removal of User Content

Users may delete User Content within the platform. Deleted content is removed from active display, subject to limited residual storage in backups for operational and legal purposes. Deletion of User Content does not affect aggregated and anonymous Trend Data previously derived from that content, as Trend Data contains no Personal Data and is not attributable to any individual user.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

Users can also request full account deletion, which removes all personal associated data from active display, in addition to their user content


7. Sharing and disclosure


7.1 Internal processing

Information is available to internal teams and systems where required for the purposes set out in this Policy, including engineering, operations, security, support and compliance.


7.2 Service providers and partners

Information may be shared with service providers that support platform operation, including:

  • Infrastructure and hosting providers
  • Analytics providers
  • Affiliate partners such as Skimlinks
  • Communication and support providers
  • Professional advisers


7.3 Legal and safety requirements

Information may be disclosed where required to comply with law, respond to legal requests, enforce terms and policies, or protect rights, property or safety.


7.4 Corporate transactions

Information may be transferred as part of a merger, acquisition, restructuring or similar transaction.


7.5 Public Content and third party access

Public Content may be viewed, copied, shared or captured by other users or third parties.


7.6 Third party content and links

Information collected by third parties is subject to their own terms and privacy policies.


8. Cookies and tracking technologies

The website and application uses cookies and related technologies for essential functions, authentication, security, analytics and affiliate processing.


9. Legal basis for processing (EU and UK)

Processing is carried out based on:

  • Performance of a contract
  • Legitimate interests
  • Consent where required
  • Legal obligations


10. Retention

Information is retained as long as necessary for platform operation and legal requirements.


11. User rights

Users have right to access, correct, delete, export or restrict Personal Data.


12. Data transfers

Information may be processed in the United States or other jurisdictions with appropriate safeguards. Where information is transferred outside the users region, such transfers rely on recognized legal safeguards, including Standard Contractual Clauses, adequacy decisions, or other lawful transfer mechanisms designed to ensure an adequate level of data protection.


13. Minors / Children

The service is not intended for individuals under 13. Accounts identified as belonging to users younger than the applicable minimum age may be restricted or removed. The minimum age for use of the service is 13, except where a higher age is required by local law. Where required, parental consent must be obtained for users below the applicable age threshold.


14. Changes to this Policy

Material changes to this Policy will be communicated through the application or website as required by applicable law. The “Last Updated” date reflects the most recent revision.
