Verixxa | Disclosure Policy
Last updated: 3 December 2025
1. Introduction
This Disclosure Policy forms part of Verixxa’s legal and operational framework and must be read together with the Terms of Use, the Privacy and Data Policy, and the Community and Safety Standards. It explains when Users must disclose relationships that could influence the content they share on the Platform.
2. Authenticity Expectation
Content on Verixxa is expected to reflect the User’s honest, personal experience. Users should only post about places they have visited, products they have used or experiences they have personally had. Verixxa may limit or remove content that appears fabricated, secondhand, or misleading. Disclosure does not excuse inauthentic content. Verixxa does not verify User Content or guarantee that it represents an objective fact.
3. When Disclosure Is Required
Users must disclose any material connection that could reasonably influence their perspective when posting about a business, brand, product, or service. Material connections include compensation, gifts or discounted items, invitations to events or previews, employment or contractor roles, ownership or investment interest, family relationships and ambassador or promotional arrangements. If a reasonable User would want to know about the relationship, disclosure is required.
4. How Disclosure Must Be Made
Disclosures must be clear, easy to understand and placed directly within the content. They must be visible without expansion. Examples include: “Gifted meal,” “Sponsored stay,” “Contains referral benefit,” “I work here,” or “Family business.” General hashtags, vague references, hidden disclosures or disclosure placed only on a profile are not acceptable. Disclosure must be made each time the connection applies.
5. Content Not Permitted Even With Disclosure
Some content is not permitted on Verixxa regardless of disclosure. This includes posts about places not personally visited, products not personally used, AI generated reviews or images presented as firsthand experience, content drafted by businesses or agencies and posted as User Content, fictionalized or speculative accounts and content created solely for promotional or commercial gain. Disclosure does not convert misleading or inauthentic content into acceptable content.
6. Lists and Collections
Users may create lists and collections for discovery, inspiration, or personal reference. Lists do not imply that the User has personally visited or used every item included in them.
Only content in which a User writes a review or shares a personal experience is considered firsthand experience.
8. Business and Brand Responsibilities
Businesses and representatives may not offer incentives for positive reviews, pressure Users to remove or modify negative content, provide scripts or templates for reviews, coordinate undisclosed employee or family reviews or post AI generated content presented as User experience. Verixxa does not mediate disputes between Users and businesses.
9. Affiliate Monetization
Verixxa may process outbound links using affiliate partners such as Skimlinks. Users may not include their own affiliate links, tracking codes or monetized redirects and may not create content for the purpose of generating commission or attempting to bypass Verixxa’s affiliate systems. Verixxa’s affiliate monetization does not influence ranking, placement or visibility of User Content.
10. Enforcement
Verixxa may take action where required disclosure is missing, misleading or incomplete, or where authenticity expectations are not met. Actions may include adding or requiring disclosure, removing content, limiting visibility, restricting features or suspending or permanently removing accounts. Repeated violations may result in account termination.
11. Applicable Law
This Policy aligns with global disclosure and consumer protection standards, including the US FTC Endorsement Guides, the EU Unfair Commercial Practices Directive, the UK ASA CAP Code and comparable international rules. Where stricter requirements apply, Verixxa applies the stricter rule.
12. Updates to This Policy
Material changes to this Policy will be communicated through the application or website as required by applicable law. The “Last Updated” date reflects the most recent revision.
